1. Sponsor

The Maine Oyster Company, (the “Sponsor”). This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, or Harvest on the Harbor.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the United States who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, contractors and immediate family members of the Sponsor are not eligible. Maine OysterFest is a 21+ event.

3. Entry period

Entries are accepted from the moment the entry page opens until October 16 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern. Entries received after that time will not be counted. The Sponsor’s server clock is the official clock.

4. How to enter

Visit https://themaineoystercompany.com/kiosk/oysterfest-giveaway-2026, enter a valid email address, confirm your eligibility and acceptance of these rules, and submit. Your Instagram handle, a favorite farm, and permission to receive news from the Sponsor are optional and do not affect your chances of winning. Following, tagging or sharing on social media is welcome but not required and does not earn additional entries.

Limit one entry per person and per email address. Duplicate entries, automated entries, and entries using multiple addresses by the same person will be disqualified.

5. Prizes

Prize 1 — tickets. One (1) winner will receive Two general-admission tickets to Maine OysterFest 2026 (one session, winner's choice while available). Approximate retail value: $195.70. The tickets admit the winner and one guest to the same session. Session choice is subject to availability. Travel, lodging, food and drink beyond what the ticket includes, and all other expenses are the winner’s responsibility.

Prize 2 — book. One (1) additional winner will receive a hardcover copy of Oyster Society: Adventures with the Shellfishly Motivated by Virginia Shaffer (Islandport Press, 2026), signed by the author. Approximate retail value: $26.95. The book is provided by Lady Oyster and will be shipped to a U.S. address or handed off at Maine OysterFest, at the winner’s choice. A single entry is included in both drawings; no entrant may win more than one prize.

Rules updated October 14, 2026: the book prize was added. Every entry received before the update is automatically included in both drawings.

Prizes are not transferable for cash and may not be resold; the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a stated prize becomes unavailable.

6. Winner selection and notification

Winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries on or about October 16. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Each winner will be notified by email at the address entered. If a winner does not respond within 48 hours of the notification, or is found to be ineligible, that prize is forfeited and an alternate winner may be drawn. The Sponsor’s decisions are final.

7. Privacy

Your email address is used to administer the giveaway and contact winners. If you keep the optional box checked, you will be added to the Sponsor’s mailing list and can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Instagram handles and phone numbers are self-reported and optional. The Sponsor does not sell entrant information.

8. General conditions

By entering, you agree to these rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor. The Sponsor may cancel, suspend or modify the giveaway if fraud, technical failure or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs its integrity, and may disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry process or acts in violation of these rules. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete or misdirected entries, or for technical problems with the entry page. By accepting a prize, a winner agrees that the Sponsor may announce the winner’s first name and city in connection with this giveaway without additional compensation, except where prohibited.

9. Governing law

These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any dispute will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.
